Benin has introduced an e-visa for everyone that needs a visa to enter the country. The e-visa is obtained through their official government portal, which you can find here .
The application process is straight forward but you will need to upload the following documents:
- Passport copy
- Passport photo
- Flight itinerary
- Proof of accommodation
- Proof of funds
- Yellow fever vaccination card
The fee for a single-entry tourist visa is €50 and will be take 3-5 days to be processed. The visa will be valid for 30 days once you enter Benin.
Benin is visa free for citizens of China, Malaysia, the UAE, Haiti and every country in Africa.
As an interesting sidenote, Benin is currently the only country that is visa free for all other African nations.
