Is it safe?
Yes, the east of the country where we travel has remained fairly stable for years now. The situation in general is getting better throughout the country, however the southeast is still the only place we would deem safe enough to travel.
Is it safe for women?
Again, yes it is! As long as you are abiding by local dress codes you will blend right in and won’t have any issues. You will always be accompanied by men throughout your trip who will be looking out for your safety at all times.
Do I need to bring cash?
Yes, ATMs do not work for foreign cards and credit cards are also likely not to work. Cash is king here and fresh crispy USD bills are the best.
Is there alcohol?
No. Alcohol is illegal in Yemen.
