Equatorial Guinea is located on the west coast of Africa.
It is a small country divided into two main parts. The first part is the island of Bioko, located in the Gulf of Guinea. Bioko is where the capital of Equatorial Guinea, Malabo, is located. The second part of the country is the much larger mainland which is located on the African continent. This is where the second largest city, Bata, is located. It is also where the planned new capital, Ciudad de la Paz, will be.

Equatorial Guinea, on the west coast of Africa, is surrounded by Cameroon to the north, and Gabon to the south. It also shares a maritime border with the island nation of Sao Tome and Principe.

The main island of Bioko is home to the current capital city of Equatorial Guinea – Malabo. The island of Bioko contains just over 300,000 people, most of which live in Malabo, which is located off the north coast.
