As you all know too well, COVID destroyed tourism and travel and now like a drunk uncle who doesn’t know when to call it quits at a family Christmas party, it seems it will be here with us for a while.
There are two main ways it affects us: financially of course, and then with all the restrictions that are now in place and constantly changing. But we want to make it as comfortable for you to continue to travel as possible.
Finances
For the foreseeable future SAIGA will be offering full refunds for any cancellations, minus any non-refundable outlays such as flights. This even includes scenarios such as you no longer feeling comfortable travelling. There may be situations on some tours where particular amounts have already been outlaid such as flight tickets, but we’ll endeavour to get back as much of these as possible.
Restrictions
SAIGA tours will be adhering to any local COVID restrictions such as vaccination or mask requirements. When travelling to foreign countries we feel we should attempt to follow local rules even if we disagree with them. We will also endeavour to keep you up to date with all rules affecting our travel.
Within the confines of the tour group such as on tour buses, within accommodation, or general socialising, it will be up to individuals how they wish to interact and we encourage all guests to feel comfortable with one another.
Our Destinations
Luckily for us, our destinations are some of the best for travel during COVID. Most of Central Asia for example is sparsely populated and likewise a lot of the places we’ll be travelling are relatively secluded.
