You may have heard on the news that things in Yemen have once again been shaken up. This resulted in the airspace being closed for a few days in January stranding hundreds of tourists on the island of Socotra. Eventually, everyone was able to get out on flights to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
What is the new schedule?
Flights between Abu Dhabi and Socotra are no more! The new route to get to Socotra for tourists will be to fly direct from Jeddah to the island.

At the moment there are only two flights scheduled on this route and it is not known if another will be added to match the old schedule that was previously operated to Abu Dhabi.
How much is it?
Similar to the previous Abu Dhabi route, the Jeddah to Socotra flight will have a return ticket price of $930 USD when booked directly with a Yemenia Airways agent.
Are there other routes to Socotra?
Yes, there are two other flights you can take both with Yemenia Airways and both with overnight stopovers in Aden departing from Cairo. These flights follow the following schedule:

For now, this is all the information we have. We expect the flight schedule to stay the same, however as with most things in Yemen it could change for the second half of the year when the high season picks back up.
