New Pakistan E-visa Update 2026

For the past year many of us have had the privilege of free e-visa to Pakistan under their new E-visa regime. This sadly has now come to an end.

From now on the old rules are back and you will once again be charged for your Pakistan E-visa. Since August 2024, Pakistan has had free e-visa for some 130 nationalities. This was done by selecting the ‘visa prior to arrival’ option on the Pakistan E-visa website. Sadly, this option has now stopped.

What is the current fee?

The visa fee online is now $50 USD. This will be charged, once you apply through the official government website.

Do I need an LOI?

Yes. You will now need an official LOI written by an official local provider to be able to apply online through the portal. This is back to the same system that was in place prior to the changes in 2024.

How fast is it?

Once you apply, the process is fairly fast, with some people already reporting they are receiving visas in less than 24 hours after applying on the new system.

Why did it stop?

There’s not been any official reason, but most likely this is a revenue raising exercise.

Do we run tours to Pakistan?

Yes, absolutely we do! You can see our Pakistan group tour dates here on our website.

How to book a Saiga Pakistan group tour?

To secure your place on our next Pakistan group tour, you can send us an email to [email protected] .
