Traveling to Pakistan seems to get easier and easier every year. Only a few years ago you needed to get a physical visa in your passport, then came the E-visa process which made everything 100 times easier. Then once again another great change in the form of the introduction of a new tourist E-visa in 2024 which is free for nearly all nationalities!
Now in 2025, the Pakistani government has introduced a new mobile application which allows you to easily apply for the free E-visa!
How can I download this app?
The name of the application in the Apple App Store or Google Play store is called PAK ID. The application is also used for government related things for Pakistan citizens, however they have now introduced a new section for foreign nationals wanting to apply for visas.
Do I have to download the app for the visa?
No. There is still the option to apply directly through the website.
Do I need any additional documentation?
No. The only information required will be your passport and an address. For the address you can use any hotel booking you make online.
