TOUR OVERVIEW
Experience a New Years like no other, as we venture to Venezuela. Venezuelans know how to have fun and New Years is no different.
This tour begins in Caracas, Venezuela's capital city. Explore its streets, markets, and key sites, including views from the Ávila Mountain cable car and historic areas, blending colonial and modern architecture. Throughout the trip we will learn about the Bolivarian Revolution, initiated by social leader Hugo Chávez. We will visit related landmarks and hear from locals about its impact on the country, including, of course, the Mausoleum of the late leader.
We travel to Canaima National Park to visit the famous Angel Falls, the world's highest uninterrupted waterfall at 979 meters. View it from up close as we visit this UNESCO World Heritage site.
Another highlight will be our visit to Catatumbo region near Lake Maracaibo to observe the Catatumbo lightning, known for having the highest frequency of lightning strikes in the world - up to 280 per hour in a near-constant storm!
